Real and lasting political change in Canada will only come about through the correct use of the democratic process. The Canadian People’s Party (CPP) stands for the restoration of political power into the hands of the people with all democratic rights and freedoms and the rule of law out of the grasp of corporate, elitist or special interest groups, be they domestic or foreign.

The Canadian People’s Party is an initiative whereby Canadians will be given the option of creating a new federal/provincial political party that will give the voting public an alternative to the present-day, status quo parties now  representing the people in the federal Parliament.

It is the primary purpose of the Canadian People’s Party to gain the confidence and support of the general populace by appealing to their common sense and their natural, moral instincts – two basic human characteristics that act as a general guide to what are sensible ways and means of running a nation so that its democratic ideals and its laws are respected and upheld for the benefit of the majority of its people.

As this is but a brief introductory statement all that it is meant to do is provide a rough outline of what the CPP will be proposing in its final constitution which is currently being formulated. The initial Draft Proposal has been receiving ongoing input from readers and will continue to transform itself as more comments, critiques and suggestions come in. Please read it and offer further feedback. It’s still very much in a nascent stage of development and represents but an outline of what ultimately will be a much fuller and comprehensive program for renewing and protecting Canada during these turbulent times when violent take overs and undemocratic coups appear to be the order of the day rather than reforms  coming about through rational debate and peaceful cooperation.

If you feel there are other concerns that you’d like to see included for discussion please write to the CPP and contribute to the effort or else click on the “Issues” Page above and put in your comments there.

It is hoped that the website contents will receive feedback and suggestions from readers.

At the present time it is suggested that readers either use the comments section at the bottom of the postings or if they wish to contact the author of the draft to please write to the following address:

Thank you.

Arthur Topham
Leader & Founder
Canadian People’s Party (CPP)

    • Chances are it will be loulou. It’s always the same old black cats then white cats then black cats, et cetera.

It’s time the mice (the people of Canada) formed their own party and run these cats up a tree somewhere and get on with putting Canada’s house back in order.

  1. It is a start I can see a great amount of work here has been accomplished. Bravo….Have you heard of the Great Law of Peace? Nothing in here talks about the rights of women. Under the Great Law there was a level of balance, fairness and respect between women and men. A voting by consensus.

Respect of the First People of Canada….and Traditional healer, leaders, and elders-Matriarchs. Honoring of all ceremonies to heal the people and the earth. Incorporate all teachings of giving, sharing, respect, balance for 7 generations. True value placed on people’s gifts.

There also needs to be something in place for consequences for people who intimidate, harm, beat, rape or murder women, children and men. This needs to be decided by the people especially the women.

What about our prisons which are a business too….we need to look at countries where they are fazing out prisons. Perhaps capital punishment should be brought back.

Men were once the stewards of the earth..would love to see this again now for a clean up crew(there are people who have developed natural substances to clean the soil, water etc).

See all drug companies cease lobbying in Ottawa, no $ to pay political parties…strict regulations and fines for these companies. Expose Intellectual Property Law which protects all DRUG patents. Doctors and pharmacists with be charged criminally causing iatrogenic (physician induced) against the Canadian people. Fines, licenses revoked and jail time for killing our elders, youth and children with poisons mostly made in China. Close down most pharmacies and only carry the necessary medications.

Alternative medicine for everyone…Traditional Native Medicine #1(overseen by the Grandmothers of all Nations), ND’s, Homeopaths, TCM, etc….health stores will be centers across Canada where people can get advice and buy what they need and the people working in them will be paid well.

Promote and teach all about permaculture….start growing Industrial Hemp for food, and hemp fibre for clothing, paper, rope, houses etc)

Lastly what about the issue of illegal drug trade (who is responsible must arrested). Close down half the liquor stores. Would need healing centers set up for detox and healing.

Stop paying professional athletes, celebrities and musicians so much money in Canada.

The issue of homelessness and poverty with our single mothers with children needs to be addressed.

My thoughts for now….I do like the name which encompasses all people of Canada. DT

    • Hi Dawn T.

Thanks for the valuable feedback. Much of what you suggest can easily be included in some of the major heading in the current draft.

I’m glad you brought up the issue of women. I sent the proposal to Betty Krawzcyk as well as a number of others and she replied with the following comments:

“Thank you, Arthur, for sending this to me. I find so much of it commendable. But for me it has a fatal flaw. You leave out the reproductive rights of women, early sexualization of children, especially girls, prostitution, pornography, etc. issues that increasing numbers of women are no any longer considering freedom of speech along with issues of domestic violence, murders and violent crimes against women, less pay for the same work, in fact the treatment of women in general as lesser beings than men. I have come to believe there will be no good society until women run and manage it. I know you disagree. But I do find much of what you have done here commendable. Again, thank you. Best wishes, BettyK”

While I’m more for a ‘balanced budget’ of men and women running the party I still feel that Betty has brought up some important issues that need to be included in the draft.

  2. Communications – one of the first things to go when a country is overtaken. 90% gone in Canada.
Military – how to deal with this and all the corporations supplying weapons.
Proportional representation . . . more info needed.

    • The mainstream media is now controlled to such an extent that it will take a lot of effort to remove their power over information. One critical issue is ridding the country of all the mechanisms that have been put in place to stop the people from expressing their thoughts and ideas on important issues. That’s why all the laws now in place to limit free speech must be repealed and a new guarantee put in place that will prevent such repressive legislation from ever slipping into Canada’s legal system. Without the fear of reprisal and criminal actions taken against people the internet would take a massive step forward in Canada’s collective expression of its anger over how the country is being ran.

    • Hi Eldon and thank you for this post. Just for clarity I’m going to post what I believe is Article 5:

“For the most convenient management of the general interests of the United States, delegates shall be annually appointed in such manner as the legislatures of each State shall direct, to meet in Congress on the first Monday in November, in every year, with a power reserved to each State to recall its delegates, or any of them, at any time within the year, and to send others in their stead for the remainder of the year.

No State shall be represented in Congress by less than two, nor more than seven members; and no person shall be capable of being a delegate for more than three years in any term of six years; nor shall any person, being a delegate, be capable of holding any office under the United States, for which he, or another for his benefit, receives any salary, fees or emolument of any kind.

Each State shall maintain its own delegates in a meeting of the States, and while they act as members of the committee of the States.

In determining questions in the United States in Congress assembled, each State shall have one vote.

Freedom of speech and debate in Congress shall not be impeached or questioned in any court or place out of Congress, and the members of Congress shall be protected in their persons from arrests or imprisonments, during the time of their going to and from, and attendence on Congress, except for treason, felony, or breach of the peace.”

Can you elaborate further on this? Is it a form of recall legislation that can be used to get rid of elected members who aren’t doing their job?

  3. HI Arthur Topham, Are there any activities of your CPP? Where you are based out and did you got registration, are there any contestants in coming Federal elections.

  4. Hi Arthur
I just found this Thank You for trying!
At this time I feel the next step our gov will
try to find a way to eliminate the victims of crimes
    from the people in POWER.

  5. I would like this party to represent the real needs of people living with mental disabilities with opportunities to create a real plan for them to be active members of our society. Right now, they are being pushed aside through a system that treats them like charity cases instead of human beings who deserve our respect.
